• Corrosion Resistance:

• Withstands sulfuric acid (up to 5% concentration at 100°C) and phosphoric acid environments.

• Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) ≥35 due to Cr/Mo synergy.

• Stress corrosion cracking resistance in chloride-rich media (tested per ASTM G36).

• Mechanical Properties:

• Tensile strength: 550–750 MPa, yield strength: 240–350 MPa, elongation: 30–55%.

• Impact toughness: ≥100 J at -196°C (liquid nitrogen service).

• Thermal Stability:

• Maintains ductility after 1,000 hours at 540°C (grain growth ≤ASTM 4).

• Melting Process:
  Triple-melted via electric arc furnace (EAF) → argon oxygen decarburization (AOD) → vacuum oxygen decarburization (VOD) to achieve sulfur content <0.003%.

• Hot Rolling:
  Multi-pass rolling with inter-stage annealing to eliminate delta ferrite formation.

• Surface Treatment:
  Electrolytic polishing reduces surface roughness to Ra ≤0.2 µm, enhancing crevice corrosion resistance.

• Passivation Mechanism:
  Chromium-rich oxide layer (Cr₂O₃) with molybdenum-enriched sublayer blocks aggressive ion penetration.

• Phase Control:
  Titanium addition stabilizes MC-type carbides, preventing sensitization during 425–815°C exposure.

• Solid Solution Strengthening:
  Nickel matrix dissolves copper atoms, enhancing ductility in reducing acids.
